Juve join the race for Chelsea winger

Juventus are reportedly interested in the Chelsea winger Pedro and they are joining Roma in the race for signing him.

The 32-year-old player has announced that he will leave Stamford Bridge this summer as his contract is expiring in the end of 2019/20 season and he is not going to renew it.

According to Calciomercato, Juventus are now competing with Roma for the Spaniard.

The Old Lady is well known for signing players on a free transfer, such as Dani Alves, Aaron Ramsey, Sami Khedira, Andrea Pirlo, Emre Can and Adrien Rabiot.

Now Pedro is on their list. The former Barcelona star has won the Premier League title, the Fa Cup and the Europa League since joining Chelsea from Barca for a transfer fee of £21 million in 2015.

The 32-year-old winger has scored 43 goals in 201 appearances during his stay at Stamford Bridge.

But ever since Frank Lampard took over the club the Spaniard has been struggling with play time, so he will be playing elsewhere the next season.

“I’m terminating my contract, but right now it’s not the most important thing, nor have I stopped to think about it," said Pedro last month speaking about his future.

“From there on what has to do with my future will come, but right now it’s not the most important thing when you don’t even know when you’re going to train again.”

Maurizio Sarri might want to reunite with Pedro, as the Italian manager coached the Spaniard in the 2018/19 season, which was his only season in charge of Chelsea.
