According to some reports, Bayern Munich are not interested in signing Philippe Coutinho for permanent this summer, as he does not fit to the team tactics.
The Brazilian, who spent this season on loan at Allianz Arena, has struggled with Barcelona since his arrival for big money in 2018.
Coutinho netted only 13 goals in all his 52 appearances for the Catalans since his £142m switch from Anfield.
And despite his good performances in Germany, the German football expert Patrick Strasser is sure that Coutinho will not stay with Bayern Munich and will return to Barcelona.
“He’s not the right player that coach Hansi Flick wants to have because he’s playing as a proper No.10 – a playmaker you would say,” said Strasser.
“Bayern play with [Robert] Lewandowski up front and two strong wingers in [Kingsley] Coman and Serge Gnabry.
“There’s no spot in the first team for Coutinho as Thomas Muller is in the first team too – one of the key players of Bayern for ten or more years.
“They will not buy Coutinho for sure because he will cost too much but he hasn’t really been that good."
However, in the recent months Coutinho has been linked with a return to the Premier League.
Newcastle and Chelsea are the possible destinations for the Brazilian, but as it was reported the Blues are leading the race for signing the 27-year-old player.
Chelsea are not willing to pay £80m price that Barcelona put on the Brazilian, but they believe that the Spanish giants desire to bring in other players could work in their favour.
The Catalans are keen to bring Lautaro Martinez from Inter this summer, but his release clause is £97m, so selling Coutinho is going to be the right move to fund the move.
However, Coutinho himself said to his agent that he wants a Premier League move and as it was reported Manchester United are also interested in the player.
