RB Leipzig star is set to join Chelsea this summer, as the club agreed a deal in principle to sign him from the Bundesliga team.
The 24-year-old player has a €55m (£49.4m) release clause in his contract with Leipzig, but the clause is due to expire on June 15.
The German international has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool in the recent months. Chelsea nd Manchester United have shown interest in the player too, but the Reds were favourites to sign him.
Werner even praised Liverpool saying that they are the best club in the world and Klopp is the best manager out there.
However, it was reported that Chelsea have offered £200,000-a-week contract to Werner.
Liverpool are not willing to pay Werner's release clause and Chelsea took the opportunity to sign him and strengthen their frontline as that is one of theirs weakest areas.
Werner's priority has always been signing a club that plays in the Champions League and a club where he will get enough play time.
Chelsea seem like the perfect option for his goals and now they are even ready to pay the full price of his release clause.
Werner's signing will be a major win for Frank Lampard as he will have one of the best young strikers and we believe that under his management the German will become even better, as Lampard is well known for helping in the development in the young players.
Werner will join Hakim Ziyech, who is set to join Chelsea from Ajax for £33m on July 1. Both of them are the first new additions to Stamford Bridge after Chelsea's transfer ban was lifted by FIFA in December last year.
Chelsea were not able to sign players last year and they chose the opportunity not to bring new additions to the squad in the January transfer window and focus their attention in for the summer transfers.
However, Werner might turn out to be the player they needed for so long to lead the attack as the German has netted 25 goals this season and only Robert Lewandowski (29) has more scored goals than him in the current campaign.
