Odion Ighalo, who is on loan in Man United, has been offered a two-year contract with salary more than £400,000 per week by his parent club Shanghai Shenhua.
The Chinese club want the Nigerian striker to renew his contact with them after he made some great performances with United he has scored four goals in his first three starts.
The 30-year-old's loan in Manchester United expires on May 31 but, as it was reported on Monday, but it is likely to be extended until the end of June due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Ighalo's contract with Shanghai expires in December 2022 and they want him to stay in the club for at least two more years.
The Chinese club has offered a tempting deal for the Nigerian as he is going to earn £400,000 a week before tax.
However, Ighalo is focused on United until his loan deal expires. Probably he will wait to see if United are going to offer him a permanent deal before making any decisions on his future.
Earlier this week it was reported that the Red Devils are interested in making his stay in England permanent, but any further information was not given.
Odion Ighalo is now playing for his dream team as he always has said that he supported United since he was a little boy.
There is no doubt that Ighalo made a good impression not only to Solskjaer, but obviously to his parent club.
After such a great start for United they are most certainly looking for their options to sign him for permanent, which will be great for the player.
Solskjaer is looking exactly for a player like him - someone who can get in position and score goals. Ighalo scored four times in his five appearances for the Red Devils.
However, if United are not willing to offer him a permanent deal he still has the option to return to his club and receive a big salary.
