Kevin De Bruyne might leave Man City

Kevin De Bruyne said that he would reconsider his future with Manchester City if the two-year ban from UEFA is uphold.

Manchester City have been banned for two years of any European tournaments as they have breached UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.

The club appealed the ban as in their opinion they did nothing against UEFA's regulations. The ban has been appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, but they are waiting for a decision.

De Bruyne thinks that Manchester City did nothing wrong, but he said that if the ban stands he will have a big decision to make.

“I’m just waiting,” said De Bruyne in an interview with Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws.

“The club told us they are going to appeal and they are almost one hundred per cent sure they are right.

“That’s why I’m waiting to see what will happen. I trust my team.

“Once the decision is made, I will review everything. Two years would be long, but in the case of one year I might see.”

The Belgian believes that he plays for one of the best teams in the world and he doesn't have any reasons to leave them if the ban has been out of the equation.

The 28-year-old player said that he would not leave if the European ban has been removed, even with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.

“I play for one of the best teams in the world, play in England – for my competitive view the best competition – and I like that,” added De Bruyne.

However, De Bruyne still has three years left in his current contract, but the club's manager Pep Guardiola has only one year left with the Sky Blues. Pep is in his final year as a manager of the club, as his current deal is up to 2021.
