Bayern Munich will breathe a bit more easily when they meet Borussia Dortmund next week as they totally outplayed Eintracht Frankfurt and beat them 5-2.
The leaders in the Bundesliga, with 61 points at the top of the table, dominated over Frankfurt through the first half and they have created chance after chance.
Eintracht Frankfurt didn't manage to stop Bayern attacks and they were open in defence for most of the times. Hütter's side let Bayern Munich too much space to play the ball around and that led to the two goal difference in the scoreline in the first half.
Flick's side went to the dressing room with two goals in their advantage.
However, just in the opening minutes of the game, Bayern had chances to open up the scoreline as the first came in the 11th minute, after Robert Lewandowski was not marked and he shot the ball, but he hit the post.
Just one minute later, Perisic had the opportunity to score the first goal for the game, as he managed to lose his mark and get one on one with the keeper, but Kevin Trapp saved the ball.
Bayern made attack after attack and in the 17th minute the efforts paid off, as Goretzka opened the scoreline after a great volley past the keeper, from a perfect cross from Muller.
Frankfurt just couldn't keep the ball long enough to create decent chance to score a goal.
Just before halftime, in the 41st minute, Muller doubled Bayern advantage, scoring a goal after an assist from Alphonso Davies.
However, after the start of the second half things turned in other direction, as the hosts scored their third goal of the match, after Lewandowski goal from a header, but the visitors scored two quick goals.
Right after the start of the second half, 46, Lewandowski headed the ball right past Trapp, after a great assist from Kingsley Coman.
However, in the 52nd minute, Martin Hinteregger scored Frankfurt first goal of the match. After a corner he blasted the ball just past Neuer.
Just three minutes later, Martin Hinteregger scored his second goal of the match, again from a corner.
As things finally looked like Frankfurt have chance of equalising, in the 61st minute Alphonso Davies put an end to those hopes.
After a dreadful error by Frankfurt defence, Davies took the opportunity to extend the lead once more and he grabbed it, putting the ball right into the net.
Eintracht Frankfurt managed to open Bayern Munich defence, but it seemed like Frankfurt didn't have any confidence and that did not lead to anything successful.
However, in the 74th minute of the game, Hinteregger scored an own goal, making the scoreline 5-2.
